Did Anyone See....

The programme about a man having a hand transplant - I think it was on BBC1 at 10.35 last night, so it'll be on BBC Iplayer if anyone wants to catch up. I thought it was very interesting, and I wonder what other people thought about donating a limb after death - and receiving one as well? I gather that someone who had a hand transplant in the USA went back after some time and had it removed - he couldn't think of it as "his" hand. I'd be interested to hear other peoples' views on this.

I didn't see the programme Islasmum but a transplant that one can see must be very strange. There is a view that the transplanted organ brings inherited memory and there are fascinating stories about this.
My husband had a kidney transplant and changed quite a bit after. Nothing bad but he suddenly developed a love of shopping and cooking.....I didn't think he knew we owned a cooker.
There were other changes too....he expected input when we chose wallpaper and curtain fabric....I ask you!
Was the female kidney contributing to this? Who knows.
I'm happy to donate anything......don't think a burly man would be thrilled to get my tiny feet though.

I watched the programme an found it interesting.
My view is that transplantation is simply recycling and there should be an opt out system instead of the current system.

I know someone (burly male lager swilling rugby player) who donated a kidney to his cousin(teetotal female). After the transplant she developed a craving for lager
