If they said the 20th then I would ring them and ask. They are usually very helpful.
correct, if they said 20th, it should have been the 20th
When I helped an elderly neighbour apply, her Pension Credit payment (backdated for several months) appeared in her account BEFORE she'd been notified that she was entitled to it!
Mine was paid exactly on the day they said. As Francis Asis says I would ring them. I found them very helpful.
Call 0800 99 1234 to ask where your money has got to. (Mon-Fri, 0800-1800).
also, thye are not averse to mistakes - when i was entitled to 8 weeks child benefit, they paid me 1 week then stopped
