One of Jodie's problems is that she is uable to see personal criticism in any way except as a personal attack, and her response is to attack back. She is obviously very vulnerable, and has chosen to deal with her personal issues in life by pretending they are not there, and diving headlong into the 'celebrity' life, where any depth of conversation, or attempts at self-analysis and improvement simply do not occur. Now, trapped in the House, the cracks are showing, and she is becoming less to deal with them
Similarly, the combined effects of cabin fever, lack of sleep, and close proximity to strangers are affecting everyone - which of course is the whole idea of the show - but it is distorting the actual serious importance of the daily life issues they deal with.
Next, people will become territorial - making some spaces 'theirs' which will add to the friction - it's all basic human-watching for us, but harder for those inside to step back and take a rational look at things.
It's far easier to simply focus on an obvious (or apparently obvious) problem and use it to vent a little, or a lot of emotion - but in this case, against someone ill-equipped to deal with it.
Watch on - it's getting interesting.
i think they think she is an easy target, and i am sad to see that some of the more neutral housemates are starting to follow them - even easy going maggot joined in the other day! It keeps the target off them. safety in numbers, eh?
I think they think the public hate jodie so much that giving her a bit of stick will endear them to us - however while people may not like some of the things jodie does or says, we all know she just a human being and hurts like every one else. we all saw bullying at school and you assume people grow out of it - just shows some don't. I mean who exactly is she hurting? I find pete far more vile and deserving of an earbashing than her!
barrymore should look back at what he has suffered and realise inflicting it on jodie is not fair. He wants a comeback but all he is doing is making people see what a spiteful screw up he is. many people already hate him - this is not helping change that. how will anyone ever be able to believe his 'man of the people, i love everyone' persona again?
if, as they say, she is damaged - (and i do think she could do with some sort of help) - they should be helping her, not turning on her with such venom!
i'd like to know why they think what they are doing is okay! how do they justify it? They think their age means they can say what they like...it means they should know better!
Regardless of Jodies comments I cant recall her backstabbing. She only started when she realised that she was being backed into a corner.
I actually had respect for GG (no play on his party name intended) but I now despise and loathe this manipulative conniving man.He alone has bewitched the rest of the housemates round to his way of thinking.I have said before the man is a master with words. If I were Jodie I would tell the whole lot of them to take a flying xxxx and get out now.She has been a victim of bullying in the past and is now.Anyway - so what if she has a past - like to see in their closets!!
On a cheerier note - did anyone see GG pretending he was a cat yesterday to RL - purring and licking her as she stroked him.Just glad the camera didnt pan down - could have had another Dermot moment methinks!!!What an absolute prat.
Mullein - When people gang up on one person that is bullying. There is no other way to pretty it up.
The bullies have behaved atrociously - we are talking grown men vilifiying another HUMAN being.
P.S Hate to do this but its spelt 'there' in the context you were using the word - 'their' means belonging to a person, in general.I do agree with your comments about Jordan though - she is very shrewd and I admire her even although she has never sought sympathy for Harvey, she is a good mum.
