Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Hello EVers,
I started off quite well, solving clues more or less in clue order. Came to a crunching halt in the SE sector, but sorted after a while! Then spotted a "string" of letters that helped. However I think it was a rather sneaky title as it is only partially "Down Under"!

Ruth didn't just test-solve it, she also practically wrote half the clues! I was planning to provide a full citation and thanks to all of my helpers and test-solvers in a mini-blog-comment-post-thing once the solution is revealed over at fifteensquared.net, and of course thanks to the editor for giving me such a swift debut.

I did also appear on the Uni Challenge match this week. Sadly a loss, though against a tough team who could well go on to win, and hopefully I didn't do too badly!

Well, stared at the grid for days now, the second of the two is still not shouting out! I'm afraid DocHH, that not even your guidance is helping. Perhaps a glass or two tonight may assist but am throwing in the towel for now!

Look for an 8 letter run beginning with the last letter in 38a.

Also bear in mind Ruthrobin's comment on my & devadolly's concern about whether the second place actually qualifies.
