For setting out this message on the retirement of a teacher at a £13,000 year prep school, the headmaster has been forced to step down from his top job..

/// It is with mixed feelings that I announce the retirement of Mr Roger Clark at the end of this term, ///

/// WE ALL NOW KNOW EVERY REALLY great teacher has to finish one day and Mr Clark will do so at the end of this term. ///

Apparently the recipient noticed that the first letters of the first six words in the second sentence, spelled out a word that he didn't take kindly to.

Note to all

aog says it's OK to insult him as long as the insults are /cleverly disguised/

Personally I think that when someone's shortcomings can be clearly articulated and substantiated a straightforward and direct approach is more honest
cant unions notify teaching staff

Frankie Boyle makes a living out of that argument - it doesn;t work for him, and it doesn;t work here.

It most certainly does work for for him, it has made him a multi millionaire.

Would you laugh if you were called that, aog, and then think what a great sense of humour you had?

Well, you must be rolling about on here, because you are constantly complaining that you have been insulted and are always annoyed about it. And ,do you, know, if there is an insult, it sometimes seems funny to other ABers?

This was offensive, and certainly not proper behaviour for a man in this position over staff, or any school teacher.
// how could you possibly know it wasn't done in a friendly, clever, and humorous manner? //

Because it wasn't received in that way. The receipient was so insulted he complained. If it had been friendly banter between two mates the other guy would have written a letter back thanking the head for his kind thoughts, with T0SSER hidden somewhere in the message, and we would never have heard of it.
