Timeshare resale

Has anyone heard of a company called The 1 2 Buy? They claim to have a purchaser for my timeshare but want credit card money up front. They also claim to be recognised by The Network Council Europe. Have you heard of this organisation, or could it all be an elaborate scam?

It nevers ceases to amaze me that folks keep believing that one day a timeshare company will turn up that genuinely wants to sell their timeshare. Especially when that company wants, guess what .............. money upfront. It just doesn't happen like like. Hold onto your money.

If they really could sell your TS then they'd be happy with commision from the proceeds. These guys are dodgier than estate agents, run a mile

I, too, own a timeshare unit (in Las Vegas, Nevada) and was contacted several times by The 1 2 Buy group. They incremented up my selling price (to make it appear more lucrative), then the third call was to inform me that a buyer in the U.K. had been found who would pay that higher price.

In order to express 'good faith' from both the buyer and seller so that the administration could proceed, deposits from both sides in the amount of 850 Euros was solicited.

I indicated in any legitimate real estate deal I had ever taken part in, the seller has never submitted anything more than a signature to proceed.

I was adamant on this point, and I have yet to hear from them. This lead to the inescapable conclusion that this was a scam. I cannot believe that these people are permitted to continue their operations in any EU country without prosecution.
