Recently there seem to be many people upset with the way Answerbank has become less of a resource and more of a forum. Well I just wanted to say that I use AB for both, equally, and I always (A) get excellent answers to often quite difficult questions, and (B) have a laugh. Why can't Answerbank be both?
Answerbank can, of course, be both. I would suggest that many users prefer it that way. Questions like yours are asked regularly and usually get a large number of replies. These often let a few people get things off their chest and, when that's done, it all quietens down for a bit. ............ so, until the next time.
Well said. I just tried to post an answer but it didn't get through. Not sure if it was the bit about 'fan club', clown, brown-nosers or school teachers that stopped it though.....
Can I use it as a chatroom and say that I'm off on my holidays for a week or so, and I'll be checking for unanswered questions when I get back? See you guys!
I am new to Answerbank, but I would like to see it as meeting new people on-line,giving helpful answers where needed and having a laugh where possible.None of my comments are intended to offend although I can sound sarcastic to people who do not know me.I have already had one posted answer taken off screen and I still do not know why.
[You were the first person to post a response to a serious question, but you weren't answering it in any way, you were trying to be funny. As it was the first answer, the question was therefore moved from 'Unanswered' to 'Answered'. But that might stop another contributor checking and answering the question. And therefore your post was removed. Please bear this in mind in the future. - AB Editor]
