Things Little-Ones Say!

My neighbour has her 3 year old grandson from 8-3, but today she had an apppointment so I said I'd look after him. He's a delightful child, 3 going on 30! He's been running around up and down the hall, and out of the conservatory into the garden with the dog. It's lovely and warm in the conservatory, even with the door open. My neighbour came to collect him just after lunch, he was sitting at the table drawing with some wax crayons. The conversation went like this:
' Hello Thomas, have you been a good boy for 'Spikey' ? he nods and then he said, I'm worn out, I've been up and down that garden five, six, eight times I've lost count!' I'm laid out on the kitchen counter giggling my head off.

Lol spikey, I love children of that age, they are so amusing. I miss looking after my grandchildren, they are all grown up now.

My 7 yr old niece didn't want to go to church on Sunday and said "I don't feel like singing his praises this week!"

Tenrec - I remember my mother bundling my brother into his coat for church, dragging him away from his beloved lego and he said but mum - he'll remember I did it last week!

I think what my step son said last night was a classic. He said "BM, you know I had nipples on Friday night.........". After my initial horror and I'd recovered my composure I managed to establish that he meant "nibbles".

My friend was visiting family members in France when he took his (French) toddler nephew onto the beach. The little boy looked at at a well-endowed topless lady and, pointing at what interested him most, shouted, "Oncle Derek! Oncle Derek! BALLONS!"

My grandson a few weeks ago (3) told his mother I was boring and have a big tummy. I said to him, so I a boring? He said No you not boring. Then I said, and I have a big tummy? "no. You have a VERY big tummy." They just tell it like it is!

Other nephew (I have lots) was at the Zoo.
He pointed to an orang-outang and shouted 'Daddy!!'
This is the same child who thought it was very clever to have vases on graves with holes in them so that the people could breathe.

Thomas insisted he be bought round to say bye to me when his mum collected him this afternoon- he said to me - Bye 'Spikey', see you tomorrow - oh, great lunch!

When my son was 5 I broke the news that his Great granma had died. He began to cry and yelled "Now I won't get any pocket money".
