I'm currently going through the process of attempting to get my daughter a place at a non-maintained special school for post 16 in SEpt. She is currently in mainstream. I've eliminated all the schools in our area and believe I've found the best one who will help her develop physically, emotionally & academically way beyond her educational years and certainly far more thant the others I've seen. Anyhow, as per, funding is the big thing and I've been advised it's a hard fight to to get her into the school I'm trying for. I've submitted all my info to the inclusion panel at our local Learning Authority, and now I'm waiting.....

I was just wondering if anyone had been through a similar experience and could maybe advise, give tips. I never would have thought I would be so emotional about it when I started, but I have to battle not to build my hopes up!
