All parties need to show more respect to a referee for his decisions. Lou Macari, for example, on the radio, made some appalling comments about the referee last night. When he was taken to task by the Radio 5 presenter for his comments he ploughed on regardless and made a fool of himself.

Apparently a young man had dialed the emergency services and said a crime had been committed by the referee.
