Are The Diet Coke Adverts Acceptable Or Sexist In Any Way?
16 Answers
The ones where a group of women are oggling a sweaty menial worker who then whips his top off to show a glistening well toned body with the women in near orgasmic excitement.
Would this be as acceptable had it been a group of men oggling a woman?
What is your stance on this?

This thread is tongue in cheek, but it made me think ...
Of course "sexism" is bad when it means that guys get better jobs than we do (a complaint that was a bit tricky in the 90s when the Prime Minister and the reigning Monarch were both women) ... but ...
Is it getting a bit out of hand when some people shout "sexism" when ...
... men are portrayed as masculine, and attractive to women, and
... girls are portrayed as feminine, and attractive to guys?
Isn't that how the species survives???
Don't guys love being attractive to women?
Don't we like it when guys find us attractive? (even if it is only the elderly, short sighted ones?)
I think the term "sexism" should only be used when a person suffers a disadvantage or detriment because they are a particular gender.
