Access File Sizes
I'm doing a bit of research and would like some opinions/discussion on this please.
An Access 97 mdb file is 260mb in size. It contains a number of tables, two queries and nothing else.
4/9 tables (containing 90% of the overall data) are deleted. the queries are also deleted.
The mdb file does not change.
I set up a new database and import the remaining tables into it. The file size is 886kb
The two files now contain exactly the same data, but one is 300 times larger than the other. Why is this?
