Dress Agencies

I get bored with high street shopping and prefer a more creative approach with more individuality. Does anyone know of a dress agency in London which caters for a more artistic, theatrical customer? I'm not looking for expensive labels - just more interesting, unusual items both up-to-date and retro.

there is the obvious portobello market which has permanent shops as well, 'black truffle' in broadway market has excellent bags and shoes by upcoming designers, 'prangsta' on new cross road in deptford (think it may have a website). these are off the top of my head but are all individual.

Hello Paintermouse, Have you tried Cambden Lock within the stables. I know in the early nineties it used to be quite a good source of out of fashion clothing and other items.

Hi paintermouse. I live in Southampton but whenever I come to London I make sure I visit my favourite dress agency called Frock Market in Putney. Its the only one with unusual clothes at really good prices. Half of my wardrobe comes from this shop! Good Luck!
