We're off to Pitlochry for a couple of days, don't mind what the weather is like, just need to escape. Work is horrible, manager has left and I'm left with the hassle. Refused to change my week off, will try not to think of the place while away.
Take a walk up the hill to Moulin and have a pint in the Moulin Hotel. They brew their own beer, log fire, good food, oooh I'm turning green with envy here :-)
Hi fairycake. Have a lovely time. My husband was born about 4 miles from Pitlochry. If you fancy a meal or afternoon tea the Green Park Hotel,Clunie Bridge Road is excellent
Dundee lassie here. Enjoy your trip to Pitlochry - but, as advised, remember the thermals and your brolly. Love Pitlochry, so much to see and do. Enjoy your short break.
We love Pitlochry and often spend weekends there. Nice walk down to the dam,up to the Festival Theatre for coffee then through the ExplorersGarden. The smallest distillery in Scotland (Edradour) is worth a visit.Definitely thermals!
Edradour is a must - incredibly friendly and welcoming. Even better if you can do as I did and take three non-drinkers with you, and then cheerfully neck their free drams as well as your own ...
Castle Menzies is lovely - but not likely to be open yet. I've spent many happy weeks renting the Garden House on their estate and roaming the local countryside.
Had a lovely time, very relaxing, visited the dam, theatre and a couple of the distilleries. Hotel was great, nice food, great wine and had a sing a long with the Scottish songs, didn't realise how many I knew, hubby was hiding in the corner. Ha ha.
Erin, I'm from Montrose, nice wee town.
