A 70 year old woman was jailed recently as the judge said he wamnted to make an example of her and wanted to send the correct message to others who wished to do the same. It was probably 0.00006 p of brachiopods taxes that she stole.

Having said that it would be useful to know how many reminders were sent to the deputy PM and what other action (summons, debt collection) was threatened by the council. Oh forgot, he has a very busy department to run, very efficiently too. Such mistakes are very easily done!!!

Without a shadow of doubt, the fat,useless oaf should go to jail, after he has resigned with no pension. He is and always has been an embarrasement .He is a bumbling pig who has got his snout in the trough with all the other piggywiggies; he has been caught cheating and should go to jail without passing go. Following on from IAP, this from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) states

"The average council tax bill on a dwelling in 2005/06 is just over �1,000."

and this from the City of Westminster list of Council Tax Bands & Rates for 2005/2006

Band G �1,030.00
Band H �1,236.00

I am glad to see that those in a position to afford (or to be given) the highest bands of housing within the City of Westminster are thought of as 'average'.

When we had the poll tax for some bizzare reason Westminster were actually paying money back to people who lived in their authority (something to do with budgets and having an evil corrupt chief executive who did one and never got done for it.)
