We have a very comfy 13 year old cream leather 3 piece suite (3 seater settee and 2 armchairs) which is now showing its age! The frame is fine but the leather is scuffed, cracked and needs extra padding. It cost us £2500 so is quite a good one.

We would buy a new leather one but we have trawled the shops and found none to suit us, we found most of the seats are quite hard, also we like a very high back and these do not seem in fashion at the moment. We have thought about having it reupholstered, has anyone had one done in leather?

I realise it will probably cost as much as buying a new suite but the style and comfort would be right.

Anyone going to answer me please?
Ann I wish I knew but I haven't got a clue, I think I would look for an upholsterer and get a quote if I were you.
If you are not worried about having leather again Plumbs will do in fabric.
These advertise as Nationwide, there should be others too.
I just googled Leather Re Upholster.

I know how you feel re your furniture - all the seats are like bloody bricks - you just want to hold onto your comfy - I need one too altho mine is not leather - but I have "broke" it into my mould and can't find one to suit me either

Thanks all - I can see about getting some quotes but just wanted reassurances from anyone who had already had their suite reupholstered in leather.

So true conne, the number of settees we sat on yesterday and declared they were like sitting on bricks, they were so hard, not a patch on our comfy one, pity it looks shabby, I don't want a new one, I want the one we've got - just the same.
I bought a new leather suite about 2 months ago Ann from Furniture Village (other stores are available!I checked them all!) and it is sooooo comfy. I am currently moulding it into my shape and it is getting more and more relaxing by the day.
Ann, you can get sofas with high backs, you know :)
I know what you mean though, as most leather sofas these days are of the 'boxy' type.

Thanks MH, not heard of Furniture Village, will check that out to see if there is one near us here.
Had our leather suite from furniture village 4 years ago Ann, still very comfy.
