Don't you mean 1 shark per 70 persons? Considering the amount of sharks that have their fins cut off alive and then chucked back ensuring that they'll eventually die anyway, this would not be an extremely wayward guesstimate. One person eating sharkfin soup will no doubt go through a lot more than one shark's fins annually.

^^ Indeed it is. You'd think all sharks would have disappeared by now but there must be a hellofalot more in the oceans then is obvious.
