Recycling tea bags?

I am very good on recycling and freecycling unwanted items but I seem to be left with a lot of food waste, which I have now been offered several solutions for. I know teabags can be composted but it there something else I could do with them?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.If you have a garden and grow roses therein,tea leaves are supposed to be good for them--a friend of ours (who grew beautiful roses) always emptied the teapot around the base of the plant (after using loose tea),I guess you could do as much good by cutting open the tea-bag.Your Mum probably knew about that theory spudqueen.
