I'm puzzled when a member of the audience is chosen to answer questions about news items that have occured during the past week, in order to win prizes. Ant and Dec ask the contestant if they saw "the adverts" on a particular show during the week. [WHAT HAVE THE ADVERTS GOT TO DO WITH ANYTHING??]
Regrettably, you only need to look at AB's 'Adverts' section to see that some people seem to be obsessed with adverts (yet frequently seem to know very little about anything else!).
I can honestly say that I've never seen any programme with Ant & Dec in it, but I get the impression that the shows they feature in are frequently targetted at 'the lowest common denominators' within society.
They seem to spend most of the programme saying 'and coming up.....' so by half way through you've seen most of the programme! Drives MOH round the bend!
A High Court judge would ask "Who is this man, Anton Deck, that everyone is talking about? Is he a member of one of these modern 'beat combos' that I understand are popular with young people nowadays?"
