Hi , My daughter is on JBA. She will soon will have an opportunity to do voluntary work at a gym. My question is will her allowance stop?(I believe it will) or will she have cut of some sort . If so, will she on the register or does she start JBA again and how long does it take.

Thanks

Do you mean JSA (Job Seekers Allowance)?
It depends how many hours a week it is.
Voluntary work is encouraged while on JSA (as it provides experience and a possible reference).

Contrary to F-F's post, there's no limit on the number of hours but "if you are involved in voluntary work, you must be able to start work within one week, but you must be ready to go to an interview within 48 hours":

PS: You must also declare that you're doing voluntary work when 'signing on'.
Usually the voluntary work has to be for a charity. There is a difference between work that is 'voluntary work' and 'unpaid work'.
