I add up (in my head) what I've spent in every shop that I go into. It's not something that I consciously choose to do; it just comes automatically to me. (i.e. if I select 30 items in a supermarket I don't think about adding up the prices as I go round; I just know what the total will be when I get to the till).
Chris, I do that as well. so when i get to the check out there are no shocks !
I do like Chris, but consciously. This way I'd know if I was over charged.
at our local poundland they have prices on the shelf e.g. £1 but when you get to the checkout (till) that is a different story. I bought some soap the other day thinking, that it was £1 per bar. I got five and was charge £3. they nor the shelf told me that it was £1 for two , so I was charged £2 for four and £1 for one.
We have both Poundland and Pound Stretcher here in Dundee. We also ha have B & M Stores and Brighter Homes which are both cheapo shops. Says something about the economy in Dundee.
