is it true that larry burrows was the lab assisstant who destroyed capa's d day landing negatives or is this just a myth?

Googling around, it seems to be a common story - wikipedia says it 'was blamed on' Burrows - but nobody's quite committing themselves, so it may indeed be more legend than fact.

Burrows did indeed work in the lab at the time of the alleged incident but has always denied it. I heard a story that Capa's negs were in fact sent to another lab instead of the Life inhouse lab and it was they who messed it up.
I dont think Capa ever actually 'blamed' Burrows - i just think it just made for a good story.
