I am convinced that there was once a tv programme with the above title. It was a children's programme c. late 1960s or early 1970s. i have failed to locate it on any search engine but am not losing my mind. Please could someone confirm this and perhaps give me a lead on where I can find out more about it.

I managed to find a book of this name Helen, but not a TV programme - as yet. Proves your marbles are intact, anyway :-))
I looked on imdb.com to no avail -- sounds familier though.

Thank you both for your support on this matter. As a result of your assurances my quest continues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You remember correctly I used to watch Egbert Nosh too. It was written by a friend of my fathers, there was a walking house and a dustbin that followed it!
I forgot to say, it was written by Paul Groves who also wrote Bangers & Mash Helen Owers
Thankyou Helen, I have been searching for someone who remembers this series for years, and was sadly typing egbert nosh into a search engine for about the sixth time in the last year to see if anything came up this time. As far as I remember his house, garage and dustbin used to follow him around with Egbert looking round occasionally saying "This is ridiculous". Why I should be trying to find it I can't think - but it is good to know that someone else remebers it.

Thank you Helen and Jim, this has brought back some happy memories. The next step is to find it on video or DVD. Maybe that should be my next quest.
