My friends son is 15 and 6f 2", he has stretch marks on his back and has being told this is a sign of growing. Has anyone else had this with their children? Also is he likely to grow much taller?

Just running school football teams!) - and it's likely that most teenagers have some stretch marks (but they just show up on some young people more than others).
There are plenty of 'amateur' height predictors on the internet but this one is from a more reliable source (the University of Saskatchewan):

When my youngest son was 15 and 6st 2 he had them and i took him to our GP who referred him to a specialist who said it was to do with the calogen (I think it was ) in his muscles not keeping up with the muscle growth. That's perhaps not quite right but it was along those lines. My GP had frightened my son by saying his heart muscles would be the same. He also said my son has spike milligan knees, i.e, they were on backwards, which is another symptom of the growing issues
