I'm not in love with anyone. Like, in romantic way. But I do have at least some people to treasure and admire nearby and even from distance. If I do something to treasure my past memories and admiration of those friends from distance, do I give off some energy to, you know, maybe, help them in some way? Nature wondrously mysterious to me.

The science of healing can use 'magic'. You could have two doctors prescribing the same tablet for the same condition. But with the varying people skills can and will effect the outcome.

Cats on their own are fine mojo. But when combined with crystals, books by deepak chopra or bottles of water with 'memory' there's a problem. :-)
. No the energy bit is zero transfer

Prayer which is adjacent
and that has been the subject of scientific inquiry
see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Efficacy_of_prayer
In short - very short the New England Journal of Med looked at the effect of praying for someone and found no difference in the patient.

Having been prayed for myself and survived ITU
[ for which I am grateful and careful not to say to those praying - 'really dont bother...]
I can report a difference in the pray-ers - they feel different.
Obviously I do as well - I am still alive.

Gav, bedside manners are not 'magic'.
Pressed submit to early. A flu jab administered by a jolly chap has the same affect as one given by a miserable git.
No it isn't 'manners' but how people present information can have a positive or negative effect on the outcome. Not really my field but if you are looking for more on this read 'magic in practice' by Garner Thomson (I think that is his name).

Thank you everyone.
But, I think, I should have tagged this question as "Body and Soul"?
Gav, g Thomson, one of bandlers mates. I could've guessed.
You've heard of him!
