On the Nicky Cambell radio 5 live the question was"Is Iraq better off 10 years on"Iraqie people who moved to Britain becouse of the old regime were phoning in saying "it was worse than before" and that Britain was to blame. Yes, there was no weapons of mass destruction and the new regime are corrupt to the core. But the murders and torturing although not gone have declined and you have your freedom! To the Iraqies who are staying in Britain and are not happy with Britains part in the war! Why come to Britain? And why did you not stay in Iraq if you were so happy with the life that you had under the old dictatorship 10 years ago?The fact is...you came to Britain for a better and safer life!Dont knock the country that took you in! You have your freedom of speach now, ie..could Iraqie people have spoken like they did on radio 5 live in Iraq!!
You are assuming quite a lot of things there wimp.
The bottom line is that Britain IS a safer country to live than Iraq. That was the case in the time of Saddam (how safe depending on how well in with the old regime you were) and it's still the case now (again how safe depending on a lot of things)
Number of suicide bombings in particular has gone up with might put a bit of a damper on the free speech aspect...
Chatterbank is not only about asking questions as far as i know, put me right if i'm wrong please! But if you want a question "Why are Iraqie people who moved to Britain becouse of the old regime knocking Britain after Britain giving them a new start! ichkeria...you have a point, but the media have a better say now although not perfect!
