The end of The Deer Hunter when they all sing - I sat and wept buckets in the cinema.

Also, the Hunchback Of Notre Dame. They reckon that Charles Laughton put all his angst about his physical shortcomings into that role. When he says "I am not a beast ..." I start to go ... !
