Laquer Finish for car
I have just finished painting a bumper for my car and used everything as told by our local car accessory shop...primer,paint and laquer...all spray cans.
However, the laquer did not give a glossy finsh which matches the car...can anyone give me any suggestions as to an alternative laquer to use.
Thanx

Presumeably, you're trying to match a '2 pack' finish with possibly an acrylic or cellulose spay can...
Not easy, but you will need to make sure that you have plenty of clear coat on your bumper. Worry not about any runs as you'll flat those out with wet & dry.
1000 grit to start with plenty of soapy water - watch any edges as you'll easily burn through ... then 2000 grit to finish untill the surface if uniformally dulled.
Now cut with a good quality compound ( Farecla G7) do not use T cut as that is really designed for Synthetic paints and contains ammonia. Then Farecla G10 followined by a good quality polish.
Stand back and be amazed at your handy work !
