What ID would I need to withdraw money from the bank?

I've lost my debit card (it is in the house) so will need to get some cash out for when I cancel the card and wait for a new one.

It's Nationwide if that makes a difference.

If you could supply your 'Memorable details' they'd probably accept that you are who you say you are.
Santander accepted just my passport as proof of ID when I lost my card. I would've thought they's accept a drivers licence too
Hi ummmm
Government issued photo i.d is preferable
Birth certificate backed up by utility bill may be ok
Memorable data rather than details.
Hi ummmm !
Anything that links you to your Home Address e.g Utility Bill (Gas/Electricity), Driving Licence, Council Tax Bill, etc etc

I have a passport handy, I will try and find something with my address on (I don't pay the bills)
When it happened to me I took a Passport and a couple of NW statements.
Question Author
Doh....didn't think about bringing a NW statement :-)
Passport and a couple of security questions is the ususal procedure.
This can be staff dependant, some will look at your photo and say "how much do you want" others may ask security questions too (which they are trained to do)
Question Author
That should be sound then. Cheers :-)

I got it out with just my passport and account number/sort code/DOB/postcode...
depends on the bank and how much you want to withdraw.....Santander for example requires 1 piece up to a grand, 2 for more....but I see you have been successful. Hope the replacement arrives soon if you have already cancelled it.

I only wanted £200 to cover food etc. Saves him having to remember to get me money out.

New card should be here in 5 working days.
I had arranged to withdraw a large sum from Santander in cash (£8K) - I established before I went what I would need to withdraw the cash and when I got there they would not accept it and refused me my money:-((

To be on the safe side I would take passport, current gas bill and debit card
They cant stop you then surely

They accepted my passport. Luckily my new card arrived on Saturday.

That's bad luck Ric.ror. When I had the business I missed a bacs payment. I had to draw the money out and pay into the employees accounts one by one. I was walking round town with about 20k in a bag. Never been so paranoid in my life!
