R50 Alternative
We have spotlights in the kitchen which take R50 light bulbs. These I need to change frequently which is a little tiresome. Could someone recommend alternative?

Irrespective of that, you would get similar light output if you used halogen types - something like this:

These are 30% more efficient than conventional filament bulbs, so would produce less heat for the same light output.
