I have applied for a EHIC card for me and the wife to replace two that we lost my question is can anyone tell me how long it takes for them to send the cards after they have taken the money out of the bank many thanks.

If you've paid you've applied to the wrong place. They are free and come withing 10 working days.

If you have paid you have wasted your money and will probably have to wait longer than if you'd applied for a free one, because either it will nver arrive or you'll have to wait for the company who 'sold' it to you to forward your application onto the people who issue them free of charge

I'm guessing that the OP has already paid and has been waiting a while and is wondering how much longer they'll be waiting, although I really hope I'm wrong.
As people have already said, they are free and it looks like you might need to apply to the legit site, that spudqueen posted.

Was thinking this earlier and fully agree, these websites should be made illegal and removed by the search engines. Loads of people must be getting sucked in and paying.

A lot of these sites ripping people off have convincing site addresses .gov .passport etc

They may have gov or passport in their web address but they won't have an address ending in gov.uk or an org.uk.

it's because they pay google etc to come top of the links, but you're right it shouldnt happen. At the post office we tell people ONLY use the official link. How many do these people have to trick out of a £10 to make it worth their while....easy cash for them.

If it's a renewal the best way is to use the automated phone system - very easy and quick too
