Good grief. Can you imagine going round a corner and seeing an animal standing astride the rail?
Think I'll pass.
Ha!! I thought of that also......a huge elk or deer admiring the scenery.

Pasta, you ate strapped, you can't fall off!! I would be more worried about finding a cow or a sheep straddling the rail, I think I would just want the animal to be facing up hill at least.
And for those with a head for heights, coming soon to a quarry near you...

I did that last year when we were en route to Croatia. It's the scariest thing I have ever done. They take photos of you on the way down, the expression on my face has to be seen to be believed, pure terror. I had the brake on all the way down, when you go round the bends you really do lean out of the buggy. I had a group of young lads behind me, the wanted to go fast so they had to stop for a while to allow me to get ahead then they came screaming down the track until they caught me up. I was glad that I did it but was so frightened. Felt proud of myself afterwards though.
Wow Caran - you did that? Gosh I'm so impressed, I don't know if I would dare. The nearest scariest thing I did was going on a 2 seat gondola cable car above a valley in Austria near St. Wolfgang. At the highest point OH thought it would be great fun to lift a plank up out of the floor boards so we could see straight down near our feet. I was yelling at him until I was hoarse! But we did get some good photos!
lol...I thought because it said 'no brakes' on the clip that it didn't have brakes.
Not sure if it was the same one, ours was at Lienz in Austria. It lasted 2.8 km. the first thing the instructor showed us was the brake. OH went first and I followed. Never forget it as long as I live.
I'm going to start looking at weekend breaks in Austria now.
Good on you ummmm, email address www.lienzer-bergbahnen.at if its any help.
Cheers :-)
Ann I would have hated that too, not good with heights.
We were just driving past and I spotted this out the corner of my eye, stopped to have a look, debated what to do. You go up the Alp on cable car, have option which way down, cable car or buggy. We did debate it and decided we would regret it to our dying day if we didn't do it. So we did!
