Help, I'm trying to install NTL internet broadband and their technical help desk is telling me I have an internet connection but I can't complete the set up because it's being stopped by a firewall. I am therefore trying to uninstall the Norton program but it won't let me add/remove because I'm not logged in to it. I'm not logged in because it's not originally my computer and I don't know the norton password. Any ideas how I can uninstall, it won't let me reset passwords and I obviously can't download any programs. Please help it's driving me mad!
I would ignore there tech help desk if i were you they did the same with me I have Ntl and norton and they told me the same my dad ended up sorting it for me because he is quite good at computers.Try ringing them back saying its not the firewall try speaking to someone else I spoke to 4 different people and they all gave me different answers
