Cheering Yourself Up, Whilst Shopping ?

Sometimes when I go to shops I've teased the assistant like below. Have you ?

Matalan - "Would sir like to keep the clothes hanger" - "Is it cheaper if I don't take them ?"

Clarkes shoes - "My feet turn up at the front and I was wondering if you sold Dutch clogs ?"

Subway - "Would sir like it 6 inch or 12 inch" - 12 inch please as I don't like to bend it for anyone? (Have had Local shop in stiches with that one, new female assistant)

when asked at a bar if id like a tray i said haven't i got enough to carry made a few people smile

When the checkout operator asks if you want the active kids vouchers I always reply "no thank you I don't have any active kids! " ;)

Or if your sat at a table in a pub and there is a spare chair and if someone asks you if there is anyone sitting in it I can't help myself but reply "I can't see anyone! " :-/

well the really really best way to really really piss off anyone serving you in a shop would be when something doesn;t scan on the till and then you can jump in with 'it must be free'....they'll love you, probably will have only heard it 10 times that day and so you'll definately amuse them. : )

This didn't cheer me up - bent over in a shop today to tie up my shoelace, got back up and was faced with someone standing there, staring at me, which made me jump. Was just about to start on the defensive, when I realised it was a ruddy mannequin. I felt a little bit stupid.

The best way to cheer up a sales assistant is to ask for the winning lottery numbers when asked if there's anything else they can do to help, because they never, absolutely NEVER hear that in their day!
