I'm Freezing.......

I was not happy when I woke up this morning to find a couple of inches of snow and knowing I had to drive over some high ground to get to where I was working today.

I set off through the snow encountering two pretty serious accidents on my journey and then when I finally arrived at my destination discovered that I was........working OUTSIDE!!!

I am frozen to the core, have a hot water bottle on my back and a blanket over my legs and blood on my hands having murdered my colleagues who didn't think to mention that we'd be outside all bloomin' day!!!

It must be wine o'clock by now???

I wish I knew Tilly, I believe my late colleagues had thought the weather would somewhat more benign at this time of year and an outside pitch at the event would be lovely on a spring day!!!

poor you Eccles, take a medium bath and gradually warm it up....that avoids shock and skin damage -and a glass of wine too, that's important for the sanity!

Who else says 'take a bath'? It must be a regional thing.

I say "take a bath" or "have a bath" or "get in the bath", depending on how I'm feeling.

In Holland, there is a law which states that an employer cannot make people work outside when the temperature is below six degrees Celsius.

I wonder how bins get emptied, planes get dispatched, emergency services operate, mail gets delivered etc in Holland?

I'm warming up now and I might ask my cousin how he gets by in Utrecht when the weather closes in.......
