What to do next?
I haven't worked for a while - I am 51yrs and can't face going back to work in an office plus the thought of working in retail does not appeal either. I entered a Job Centre which was horrible and offputting as everything is computerised with loads of 'young' people scrambling for jobs.
Is there somewhere I can go for advice. My confidence isn't great plus I am confused. I feel I am in a rut. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

you could also consider a garden centre if you enjoy the outdoor life and gardening.
