Clio Rsi 1.6 16v -2000 -

My indicators are sometimes flashing ok and sometimes not flashing at all (although there is a rapid clicking noise but no actual flash) - is there such as thing as a flasher unit or could it be the switch ? Big up to anyone who can help , cheers

There certainly is a flasher unit, and they do go on the fritz. Its a simple job to replace it, (if you can find it) . You will need a circuit diagram to locate it, (or the advice of a kindly Renault mechanic), then its a matter of pulling off the connections and swapping the unit for a new one. They can be bought in places like Halfords, not very expensive. I am not certain that is your problem, if you can here the unit clicking then I would have thought it was working ok, is the clicking faster than you would expect the lights to flash? If so then that can mean that the unit is US.

Hi Impret-Sir ,

Thanks for the info , the clicking is indeed faster and when the clicking is fast the indicators do not flash at all - then they will revert to normal click and flash ok etc etc .I will hunt for a circuit diagram
