Not heard of this one before. We are looking to get another bulldog, saw some puppies advertised for £500, thought they were cheap, been emailing the seller who has said he lives in Aberdeen, he has said he can arrange a courier for £100 and if I give him £300 deposit he will have the dog sent down to me and I pay the reminder upon receipt of the dog. I told him I would rather travel to Aberdeen to view the pups, since then my emails to him are not being answered, the landline number on the advert does not exist and the mobile number is not being answered ......... Lucky escape I think.

The reason that wide boy breeders exist in the first place is simply because of mugs willing to shell out a ridiculous amount of money to get a dog. It's also one of the main reasons why rescue centres are bulging with dogs, many of which are put to sleep for no reason other than no one will give them a home.
Very few mutts are "un-homeable", I always have rescue dogs and have never had a 'dud' yet.

Traci I think you had a lucky escape and yes you must report this so the police/trading standards are aware.
£500 is not an awful lot for a bulldog my son paid £1500 but from a reputable dealer and saw pups with their mum.Their first bulldog Lennie was a rescue and he was a lovey dog. All breeds have their own rescue.
