Doesanyone here use or belive in it?. Until recently i was skeptical, i went to docs with an ingrowing toenail that was badly infected and he suggested putting wetted cammonile tea bags on it, t my surprise it completely healed my toe quite quickly.

I must confess, I don't quite understand the term 'Alternative medicine'.

Either something is medicine, or it isn't. If camomile works - and a placebo effect has been discounted - it should be possible to determine the chemical properties that allow it to do so.

The problem is that alternative medicine encompasses a wide range of things from genuine herbal cures to outright quackery. Just because camomile works, doesn't mean (e.g) faith healing does, so I feel the term is unhelpful.

if you have an ingrowing toenail then no topical solution will be able to heal it. surely you had to have the thing cut out. Cammomile contains bisabolol which is an anti-inflammatory. See http://www.uspharmacist.com/oldformat.asp?url=newlook/files/Alte/ACF2FB5.cfm&pub_id=8&article_id=100

for some science.

I believe in a mixture of conventional and alternative but basically whatever works for you in the end. Glad your toe is better - I had one once and the pain is dreadful. I went to a chiropodist and she cut into my nail without any pain killer - never again.
