Changing Your Current Page

Before I went to google chrome when I wanted to be immediately on the current site all I had to do was bring the google site up went up to somewhere at the top and it click "use current" - without having to download etc is there a quicker way to do it ie "use current" Thanks

When you get the Google page on screen, right click on it, select "Create Shortcut" and have it sent to your desk top.
All you will have to do then (hopefully?) is double click on the Google icon on your desk top.

Are you after changing your home page - i.e. when you open Google Chrome, do you want to change what web page come up ??

If so, read on .... if not, then plzz excuse my mis-interpretation of what you're asking :(

Click on the icon in the top right corner and click on "settings".
Under "appearance" tick the "show home button".
Then click on "change" and type (or copy and paste) your preferred home page web address.
You'll also need to click "on start up" and tick "open a specific page or set of pages" then click on "set pages" and type (or copy and paste) your preferred home page web address. The previous page will still be there, so you need to delete it - there's a cross next to it, to enable you to do this, otherwise it'll open up 2 tabs when you open Google Chrome.

thanks for your answers guys - Wak - when I right clicked there was no short cut option on it. Giz yours was a bit too complicated for such a short thing to do. Thanks again.

Log into Answerbank and go to the page that you want google to open on; click on the star at right in the google url bar on top and click the folders option; from the dropdown list select 'bookmarks bar'. Done. From now on whenever you click the shortcut above in the bookmarksbar it will take you straight to the page you saved. Make sure that google is allowed to save your login password.

In chrome, to set your homepage:

The Three lines which indicate the menu > Settings > Under the section which reads "On Startup" select "Open specific page" and click "set pages" > You can type the url in or click the "use current pages"

Alternatively you may want to just select the "continue where I left off" option, if you want to resume browsing from where you were when you closed the browser previously.
