Or might some children actually get adopoted? I know that they have to check out potential adopters but over the years councils have refused adoption for the most flimsy of reasons. So will people now be able to adopt if they are not an anti British, anti Monarchy, vegetarian, liberal voting, G whizz driving, non smoking, non drinking, within recomended BMI, politically correct, "modern" parents against the bomb?

One London borough council advertised for black adoptive parents for black children only, i don't know how they got away with it, should it matter the colour if the child goes to a loving family. I understand about the cultural aspect, but a good home is a good home.
No expert at all on the adoption process. There has been a shortfall in the difference between children awaiting adoption and those willing to adopt for quite some time. It is obviously important that the legal guardian should undertake thorough due diligence on prospective adoptees, but a fundamental review into the barriers to adoption seems long overdue, and a proper consideration of the relative harms and risks of, say, prospective
