What are you going to do - go round and confront this person? Some people call numbers at random and hurl abuse because they are inadequate individuals. Why waste your time getting into at least an argument, and at worst a fight, with a complete stranger?
Forget about it.
You could go to the police, but if the person on the end of the phone is that nasty. and it goes to court, you may be giving yourself more trouble in the long run.
As has been said, forget it.
I know this is hard to do though. I was recently driving and another driver make some obscene gestures to me. I got very upset and angry and almost turned my car round and chased after them.
But I didn't, and stewed on it for half an hour, and then forgot about it.
There are some nasty people out there (people who phone up with pretend bomb scares etc). Best to just try to avoid them.
Yes ~~ very sound advice.
I would also point out that you do not "know" that it is that person's number. The number one thing to do when any call goes "bad" is just cut them off, or hold the phone away from you -- they are quite happy talkin to thin air. I had trouble like this for a period and it has stopped now. Also try to keep a log of when it happens incase it becomes something more sinister.
