Isles Of Scilly
2 Answers
Has anyone holidayed in the isles of Scilly?
I am a poor traveller and would like to know what is the less stressful way to get there.
I would like to go the quickest way if at all possible, and i live in the North West so it is obviously going to involve some longish travel.
From what i have found out ,it is about 1 hour from Exeter and much shorter from Lands End.It seems like the choices are Skybus or boat.
My problem is I suffer from dizzy spells and motion sickness......I would like to say I am certainly not a wimp in any shape or form, but i seemed to have this problem passed on from my mother who also had this. Can anyone give me any advice that will help me.
I would appreciate any advice.

It`s quite a long sailing considering the distance as there are some very strong currents down there. We had a quiet crossing there and back - the sea was calm and people were dolphin spotting on deck. Everybody else on deck was sitting about half asleep as they were so chilled out after being in the Scillies. You could fly from Newcastle to Exeter with Flybe and then get the skybus. That would be the quickest. You can`t take your car with you anyway so it makes sense really.

I think they fly from either Newquay or Lands End. The planes are not very big though. Use those wrist straps for motion sickness.
