Hi sue. Well have been searching. If its above the ground then all i can find is ant hill or ant heap. I'm sure somewhere i have more info - just trying to locate it!!

Just been reading loads of nature books - there are so many different termite nests, underground, above ground - must admit, it made fascinating reading. Clever/hard working little mites. Don't think I can be of much more help - am sure there is a better answer!

Will keep an open eye on answers you may get - would be very interested to see correct term. :o)
I have read many journals about that and I have found that the termite nest is called the "termite colony". They make different types of colonies and all the activities are done inside it.
