Sqad Advice Please
Evening Sqad. I had quite a bad fall three weeks ago. The damage was to my foot and front of my leg to the knee. I had an x-ray on it last week which was clear for breaks. There is a large lump where my shin meets my foot which is, I believe, a hematoma and my foot and ankle were very swollen.
I was told to rest for two days and gradually begin walking on it and that it could take up to seven months to heal completely.
I have rested it, the swelling reduced completely so I have been walking more or less as normal. Today the foot is much more swollen again and sore and the shin, where the lump is and above is burning when I walk but not hot to touch.
Could a small break have been missed in the x-ray and is recurring swelling normal?

Ordered by the vascular consultant yet my GP...who has received no results at all...had to go into the hospital computer to get them and it was obvious when I saw the vascular guy he had no idea about the "something" the radiologist saw.
My GP has said it is nothing to worry about and I am not worried..been so long now I would surely have other symptoms if it was..say a tumour.
I would just like some appearance of efficiency or anything to give me a bit of confidence in the system....I could go privately but it's the same chap. He just wears nicer ties in his private clinic.
He was in a huff too because he is being sued....told me that the mess my appointments had become was the fault of....Politicians...managers and patients......it was a long session. -

Hi Lazygun....'twas more difficult than you think! There were two exits. I'm a calm person....don't cry or become distraught. When he stood after my allocated minutes I thought... Act now Gness....so I jumped up...wailed and started pacing between the two doors......waving my hands in the air or putting my face in my hands. If he went for one door I was there before him.......wailing. The young nurse said it was the best consultation she had ever sat through....:-)
