Balding men with clean shaven heads
13 Answers
Many men of a certain age now shave their head. This is obviously to hide the fact that they are bald !
My question is......Is this the 21st century comb-over/syrup ?

PS I am slowly receding but have always been a slap-head anyway so its never bothered me!

A shaved head shows a concern for grooming and a strength of character, not embarrassed by balding. This is more attractive, in my opinion.
The comb over just seems desperate and fools no one, but the self deluded. It's in no way attractive.

I shaved my head after an embarassing incident in the supermarket. I had (what I believed to be ) a very well done comb-over ...using a well known hair cream to keep it in place ...I was using the self service check out in one of the big supermarkets and my comb over kept activating the barcode scanner....the assistant was very understanding and quickly took over while I moved out of the scanners range...believe it or not!
Having started going bald at 17, I cringe when I see photos of myself before I was sensible to shave my head. I looked ridiculous, and I was certainly doing myself no favours whatsoever attempting to wear half a haircut.
Shaving, on the other hand, is clean, tidy and doesn't age me. As for trying to pretend I'm not bald, I'd say it was the opposite - it's saying, 'I *am* bald, and I'm comfortable with it.'
