I was more intrigued at how the woman knew how to spell Alahan, maybe it's a common name there - these days they ask how you spell your name everywhere you go - even if it's Smith!
Well yes, I stand corrected !! thankyou kags and Robina
I realised I had put birth cert. actually meaning the hospital birth paper but it seems even that isn't a "must show". Seems a bit unsafe to me that you don't have to proof who and what you are in these days of stolen identities and other types of scullduggery !
anyway, Sorry corrie!
My husband registered our son's birth without me, but they were very strict in checking the documents & I believe they check the marriage status to insure he does have a legal right to register.
On a similar vein, I noticed when Sunita was in labour & using gas & air she was breathing out through the gas & air pipe & breathing in away from the mouth piece i.e. the total opposite of what she should have been doing, believe me I know I gave birth 6 weeks ago!
It annoys me when they get things wrong & I love being a smart so-in-so & noticing the slip ups!
