They were banging on about George Alegheya (sp), wearing a light grey suit when he reported from Downing Street as being, disrespectful. The poor guy probably couldn't dash home and change in the middle of the day.
I would agree that the BBCs coverage of the Diamond Jubilee was pretty dismal. I would not agree that their coverage is necessarily biased, despite what those right of centre here proclaim.

They have been very quiet in their coverage of the proposed and now actioned changes to the NHS, for example...

I reckon a lot of the so called 'protesters' are the offspring of the poll tax rioters, and the rest of them from 'rent-a-mob'
Unlike some people here in AB, I think the BBC is the best broadcaster in the world. The Beeb have had a very difficult job with Thatchers death. Their output has not reflected the millions of people who detested her and her politics. The BBC has chosen to err on the side of safety, which is probably all they could reasonably be expected to do.

But anybody who has watched or heard the output over the last few days may be forgiven for thinking that Mother Teresa had died again.

The passage of time will produce a more real view of Thatcher and her legacy. The historians will get it right but it won't happen overnight.
Nobody's asked Fearne Cotton her opinion yet. I'm all agog.
on a more serious point, ill watch the coverage on which tv station concentrates most on what the outfits are like !
