NHS STAFF DISCOUNTS

Does anyone know which shops nhs staff are entitled to get discounts from, i know dorothy perkins gives a 10% discount if you produce your badge, are there any others that do the same? thanks in advance

we all do a stellar job, firefighters, the brave young and old soldiers, doctors, nurses, paramedics, secretarys, lawyers, bin men, posties and we all contribute to the society, britain wouldnt be running very well without each and every one of us {its not running that well at the moment, because gordon brown shouldnt be managing and running a supermarket, let alone the country.

It seems sqad has a lot to say, what's your job? The NHS badge won't be passed around "NHS staff" because it has out photo on it. most of us don't realise we get discount and anyway the discounts arnt even huge. Why the hell shouldn't I get a discount? I do the most demeaning job in the NHS. I can get attitude of people and abuse and 90% of the time my hard work can go un-noticed. Why shouldn't I get a slight perk

I have no idea why I didn't get notified of responses on this before, but my previous post was being flippant. It doesn't seem to take much to inadvertently wind folk up on here though! I also don't know why NHS get singled out for discounts. A bit like I don't understand why bus drivers wanted bonuses because their buses would be more full during the olympics, or why people get knighthoods etc just for doing their normal jobs, but it seems to be the way of the world. I'm a local authority planner and I get my wages, a bit of abuse, and no other extras but I don't expect it to be any different!

Can I just say that these people who are asking why nhs staff get discount...terrible attitude. I say they do a fantastic job actually a life saving job and get paid peanuts!!! I think getting a small discount at a few shops is no big deal so good on them.. I'd like to see if you would still be saying that if your children were ill and there was no nhs!!
