If Internet Explorer then you could make sure that smooth scrolling is disabled - is this setting in your version http:// www.gra nneman. com/web dev/bro wsers/i nternet explore r/smoot hscroll ing/ ?

thanks factor and bibblebub for another two great answers. No I just know nothing is wrong with the mouse - am on XP Windows Computer - I had a little virus in the system yesterday and when the page came back on everything was much bigger and darker - spent a day getting that sorted - Control + and - - it worked but was not back to my original page. Anyway the scrolling when I want to go up and down it "waves" . Went into control panel looked at the mouse and was able to find "straight scrolling" which was ticked - after that - went into internet - but still unable to find an answer. The scrolling just waves up and down causing me to be seasick. Hope that is a good enough answer. No I never got any replies - hope you get to see this. Thanks both.
